This mission of this site is to promote the fund raising effort of Rising Hope Farms to build an indoor riding arena so our special riders can enjoy the benefits of therapeutic riding year-round.
This is also the place to find news about recent fund raising events, see who's contributed, and find out how you can help change some very special lives. On the photos page you can see for yourself the joy and wonder of what is Rising Hope Farms. Please make sure to go to the Contribute page and help us serve these wonderful children!

2013 Riding Season is Almost Here!
The winter is flying by and soon Rising Hope Farm will be alive with the joyous sounds of special children healing and filled with Our Lord's spirit!
If you would like to be a part of this glorious ministry of hope and healing, please attend one of our volunteer training sessions in March. Please go to the Events page to find more details and forms.

Would YOU like to donate?
Rising Hope has an exciting future but we need corporate, community group, and church partners. We will be placing special markers (we ain't figured out what yet, but it will be nice) in and around the arena to recognize our extraordinary donors!

Please go to our Contact Us or Contribute page to request more information or give us a call.
Welcome!
We are so glad you are here!
So what is Rising Hope Farms?
Rising Hope Farm & Horses for Hope
are ministries that provide a safe and inspirational environment to interact with horses. Through these ministries, our goal and prayer is that God will use this facility to provide fun, peace and healing for all involved.
We serve as non-profit therapeutic riding facility and use equestrian activities for the purpose of contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being of those with disabilities. Therapeutic riding is also an opportunity for education and recreation that otherwise may not be available.
What is Equine Facilitated Therapy?
Therapeutic riding uses equine-assisted activities for the purpose of contributing positively to cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being of people with disabilities. Therapeutic riding provides benefits in the areas of therapy, education sport and recreation & leisure. Throughout the world, there are thousands of individuals with special needs who experience the rewarding benefits of horseback riding. A disability does not have to limit a person from riding horses. In fact, experiencing the motion of a horse can be very therapeutic. Because horseback riding rhythmically moves the rider's body in a manner similar to a human gait, riders with physical disabilities often show improvement in flexibility, balance and muscle strength. So why do we need an indoor arena?
Rising Hope Farms is located in Claremont, North Carolina where the climate is world renown for it's healing properties (nearby Catawba Springs was THE place to come for what ailed you in the 1920's).
For eight months every year, Rising Hope Farm is filled with the spirit of His healing. Weak muscles are made strong, backs straightened, confidence regained. Bonds are formed between riders and volunteers that are not soon or easily broken. And even though the winters are relatively mild, the weather is too harsh for our precious riders outdoors. Even our love can't keep them warm enough to continue the healing our equine partners provide them. Through the winter months, everything that was gained in the previous 8 months is slowly lost. The rider's strength, balance and confidence, worked for so hard over the summer, weakens without the stimulation riding a horse provides.
In order to continue riding therapy year round, Rising Hope Farms must build an indoor arena. As a charitable ministry, we solely depend on donations and volunteer support. Our riders depend on you. And us. More...
